You have to be registered as a Democrat to vote for a Democratic candidate in the primary. Independents cannot vote in either the Democratic or Republican primary.
Also, Nevada has been removing people from the voter rolls. Even if you think you are registered, you might not be. It only takes a minute to check. All you need is your driver's license or state ID number.
If you are not registered, or you want to change your registration to Democrat so you can vote in the primary, you can register online until May 24, 2018.
